Paul has long been involved with the media law community nationally, including through his work with the ABA Forum on Communications Law. For several years, Paul served on the Forum’s Training and Development Committee, including as one of its co-chairs. The Training and Development Committee creates the curriculum for and organizes the Media Advocacy Workshop, which helps train the next generation of media lawyers, including both junior attorneys and law students. The Workshop includes two mock oral arguments and a pre-publication review exercise. Each year, the Committee selects some of the top media lawyers in the country to serve on the Workshop’s faculty. This year, Paul was chosen for the second time to serve on the Workshop’s faculty. The Workshop will be held in conjunction with the Forum’s Annual Conference in Napa, California on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
